The Acorn RV Story…

Hello, I’m Anthony Zruna, founder of Acorn RV. I’m a fisherman, a hobbyist woodworker, and I’ve spent nearly 20 years working in maintenance and construction. Along the way, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for solid craftsmanship, practical design, and spending real quality time outdoors.
My path into teardrop trailers started pretty simply. I was done with tent camping. I began noticing how popular teardrop-style trailers were becoming in the U.S., and the idea just made sense to me. But when I looked closer here in Canada, I couldn’t find a trailer that struck the right balance between quality, thoughtful design, and affordability. I wasn’t interested in something mass-produced. I wanted something well-built and made to last. So, I decided to build my own.
That first trailer quickly caught the attention of family and friends. They loved how practical it was and how solid it felt, and their encouragement pushed me to take the next step. What started as a personal project turned into a business built around the things I enjoy most, creating purposeful, well-made products and getting outside whenever possible. That’s how Acorn RV came to be. The name was inspired by the small acorns my son, Adam, used to collect on walks around our neighborhood.
At Acorn RV, we believe camping should be simple and stress-free. Our lightweight, thoughtfully designed trailers bridge the gap between tent camping and full-size RVs. You don’t need a big truck or a huge budget. You just need the urge to get away and enjoy the outdoors.
